Robbie Rist (Role) : Choji Akimichi
Robbie Rist, an American actor, has secured a nice place in entertainment world with his work as an actor and voice actor. In the final season of ‘The Brady Bunch’, Robbie played the character of Cousin Oliver. In late 1970s, Robbie co-starred in a Saturday morning show ‘Big John, Little John’. In 1976 and 1977, he appeared as David Baxter on the television program ‘Mary Tyler Moore’.
In 1980, Robbie Rist was seen portraying Dr. Zee in Galactica 1980. He played Booger in ‘Revenge of the Nerds’. On the short lived CBS series ‘Whiz Kids’, he was seen in the episode entitled ‘A Chip Off the Old Block’.
During his adulthood, he started working as a voice actor. He soon gave his voice to ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’. During 1984-86, Robbie Rist starred in the Saturday Morning cartoon ‘Kidd Video’. He also portrayed the same character Whiz in live action music videos and animated sequences. In the 1995 Universal studio film ‘Balto’, Robbie voiced Star, a Siberian husky. In the PC game ‘Star Warped’, he gave his voice to Aaron. Among his other voiceover credits are Choji Akimichi from Naruto, Itsuki Takeuchi A.K.A. “Iggy” from Initial D and Bud Bison of Megaman Starforce.
Robbie Rist is also a musician and producer. In Los Angeles, he has performed as the lead singer/guitarist with several bands such as Wonderboy, the Andersons, Cockeyed Ghost, Nice Guy Eddie, and Steve Barton and the Oblivion Click. He also has performed with innumerous west coast bands. He also has produced a number of records for some bands such as Suzy & Los Quattro, Backline, Ginger Britt and the Mighty, Jeff Caudill, Steve Barton and the Oblivion Click, Nice Guy Eddie, Kingsizemaybe and The Mockers etc.
As of now, his primary concerns are films and music productions. His most recent project is ‘Stump The Band’, a horror/comedy film. Robbie produced it and it’s directed by William Holmes and JoJo Hendrickson.
